About

We carry out condition assessments, reports and surveys.  From individual objects to whole collections. We offer treatment of a large range of materials and are able to provide advice on packing, transport and storage as well as preventative conservation needs.

Based in Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand, we conserve and restore private and museum objects.  Our work ranges from tiny delicate sculptures to large outdoor monuments and memorials and incorporates most materials from stone to metal to plastic.

As conservators we abide by a strict code of ethics. This ensures that both the long term well-being of the object is considered as well as any current issues. This means that treatments, where possible, should be reversible and treated with materials that will not contribute to the future degradation of the object. Detailed reports and photography are completed for every object to fully record the work carried out for future conservators and researchers. Part of this work may involve research on or discussion with the artist, family or interested bodies to determine how treatment should proceed.
